Our executive committee is made up of nine Xlukkarji who have at heart the heritage and culture of Marsaxlokk.  Every individual champions an interest like fishing, environment, history, community etc, however we all work towards a common goal; that of preserving and protecting the identity of Marsaxlokk.

After many years of effort to set up an organisation that safeguards and protects Marsaxlokk’s Heritage, a small group of people came together to flourish what the residents have been waiting for.  Our NGO called Marsaxlokk Heritage, founded on January 2019 by Joseph Gravina, will work to raise awareness about the village’s history and heritage.  This will be achieved through education and collaborations with other entities.

The aim of Marsaxlokk Heritage is to raise the interest and respect for the natural, cultural, historical, archaeological and environmental heritage in our locality and to, analyze and do our best to preserve it in the best possible way.

The vision is that within the shortest possible time, the association brings greater awareness among residents about the need to bridge, appreciate more and care for the natural, cultural, historical, archaeological and environmental heritage.
