We are actively working on erecting a monument as part of the `Malghuq regeneration project`. This monument will pay tribute to all the fisherman who were lost at sea since 1885. The monument was designed by Jason Zammit.
On the first Sunday of every month we mobilize our teams of volunteers to organize cleanups around areas of our beloved village. These cleanups will start once the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
Our community is full of people who want to learn about Marsaxlokk's history and culture. We have been organizing free lectures open to everyone to spread knowledge about different aspects of our village. Make sure to check the events page or facebook page for the next lecture.
On Friday, April 5, 2019, I was invited to present a TV documentary about Marsaxlokk. This documentary was the beginning of a series of filming documentaries on Marsaxlokk that were broadcasted on Maltese Television (TVM2). I have to say it ended to be a really professional presentation where I presented all the research I had done in the last twenty years.
Being the researcher and writer who constantly writes about the village I was born in, the thirteen programmes awaiting for the final touch of the editing, finally resulted with the production being launched.
